Today Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir will tie knot with Natasha Jain. Before the D-day there was a mehndi and sangeet ceremony at the girl’s residence at Gurgaon. According to sources, “On 27th October the mehndi ceremony was at 5pm followed by the sangeet ceremony in the evening. There were 150 guests that included mainly friends and family members from both the grooms and bride families. At night there was a deejay performance at the venue.”

On 28th October in the morning there will be a haat thera ceremony at the girl’s house then the baraat will arrive at the wedding venue around 4.30pm. ” The wedding will take place at the Westend farms in Delhi-Gurgaon road. The pheras will take place around 5pm. Gautam will wear fashion designer Shantanu Nikhil outfit whereas the bride Natasha will be wearing fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani outfit for the wedding ceremony and Anamika outfit for the Mehndi ceremony.

According to sources, “There is a separate venue besides the wedding venue where immediately after the pheras the newly married couple will address the media and will give photo opportunity and interact with the media for 45 minutes. Later the couple will proceed again to the wedding venue where the reception will be followed with the dinner party. More than 300 guests have been invited for the wedding function. It’s a very private affair. There won’t be many celebrities and VVIP guests. Amongst those who will be present at the function will include the BCCI officials, DDCA officials and close cricketer friends of Gautam.”

There is a buzz that bollywood actor SRK is also expected to be present at the wedding ceremony to bless the couple. ” SRK security made a visit to the venue to check the security , so he is most likely confirmed to be there at the wedding function on 28th October,” adds sources. Well known wedding planner Meher Sarid will be doing the wedding arrangements and Sunny Sarid will be looking into the entertainment for the function. The theme of the function is floral and and the decor is very elaborate. Lot of fresh flowers have been included in the decor and flowers have been exported from abroad. The entire theme is western and stylish. The colour combination of the entire theme at the venue will be Maroon, off white and gold. There is no major entertainment at the function.

Says source, “Gautam was very keen to have Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to perform at his wedding unfortunately due to his visa problem Rahat is unable to perform. The dinner will include an elaborate menu which will include Indian, Thai, and Continental cuisines. There will be a special paan stall set up near the dinner area. Gautam is very fond of Hot chocolate fudge and hence a chocolate fountain has been included in the menu.”
