ISLAMABAD: Russian-made ammunition has been found in al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden’s high-walled compound in Abbottabad, a media report said on Friday.

The inquiry commission probing the US commando raid that led to the killing of Osama bin Laden May 2 last year has learnt that Russian-made ammunition was found in the compound.

The ammunition was in a cupboard, sources told Dawn.

One casing of a used bullet was found.

The US operation was carried out without tipping off the Pakistani military, straining ties between Islamabad and Washington.
