Samsung has officially announced the launch of the Omnia M. This is the latest Windows-based smartphone from Samsung, which had launched the first phone in the Omnia series, the Omnia W, last year.

In terms of design, there is no noticeable change in the two Omnias. Features of the two
phones are comparable too. The Omnia M comes with a 4-inch AMOLED touchscreen, which is slightly bigger than the 3.7-inch screen in the Omnia W. At 119 gm, it weighs 4 grams more than its predecessor.

The Windows Mongo (version 7.5) looks glossier on the latest phone and the 1Ghz processor revs up its overall performance, with a notable change in the browsing speed. The Omnia M comes with a 5MP back camera and a VGA shooter in the front for video calls.

Though the phone has a 384 MB system memory and can store data worth 4 GB, the lack of a MicroSD slot is a big let down. The official price of the Omnia M is Rs. 18.650, but Samsung’s online store and many other retail chains are giving lucrative discounts.
