Mumbai: Mention the word Ultrasound and one associates it with applications in drugs imaging, diagnostic procedure, brain, heart and abdomen exams. One imagines specialists in work coats administrating tests on massive, pricey machines in massive hospitals.

Scientists currently have developed the world`s initial toothbrush that uses solely ultrasound waves to wash teeth – Emmi-dent, that is currently on the market in Asian country – which means there’s no abrasive brushing; No Rubbing! No scrubbing!

EMAG Germany has managed to harness the ability of Ultrasound to develop leading edge supersonic devices that may be used safely reception for superior oral hygiene. This has been achieved via specially designed brush heads embedded with a semiconductor device.

The development of the world`s initial and solely supersonic toothbrush device, Emmi-dent, to wash your teeth and mouth with ultrasound represents a revolution within the field of dental hygiene and prevention (prevention of disease) treatment. whereas manual toothbrushes have long been replaced by electrical versions jactitation super-fast vibrations and pricey change of color heads, the technology remains identical – abrasive particles in dentifrice rubbed against the teeth to get rid of plaque.

The new Emmi-dent toothbrush makes up to ninety six million sound waves per minute and uses solely these waves to wash the teeth and up to 12mm below the surface. It combines with special Nano-bubble dentifrice that comes with it to make innumerable small bubbles that ar sufficiently little to induce between the teeth and into the gums, wherever they founder, killing bacterium and dislodging tartar and food dust.
