Gionee Elife E7 Mini with octa-core chip, rotating camera launched at Rs. 18,999

Gionee at the India launch of Elife E7 also globally unveiled the mini-variant of the smartphone, dubbed Elife E7 Mini, priced at Rs. 18,999.

As of now, the Chinese handset maker has not revealed the availability details of the Elife E7 Mini for the Indian market.

The Gionee Elife E7 Mini runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with the company’s custom Amigo 2.0 UI layer on top, much like the elder sibling Gionee Elife E7. The Gionee Elife E7 is a single SIM device, but the mini-variant supports dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality.

It comes with 4.7-inch display (unspecified resolution). The Gionee Elife E7 Mini is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor (unspecified chipset). The highlight of the Elife E7 mini is its 13-megapixel camera which comes with rotating capabilities; something we already saw on Oppo N1 smartphone. The Gionee Elife E7 Mini will be available in two colour variants.

While announcing the Elife E7 Mini, the company also revealed that the next flagship smartphone will be announced in China and India simultaneously. Gionee also shared its plan to become the top smartphone vendor in India in the next five years.

On Tuesday, Gionee officially unveiled the Elife E7 in India, starting at Rs. 26,999. The Chinese handset maker announced that the smartphone will hit the market by January 15. Gionee globally announced the Elife E7 in November this year, as the successor to the Elife E6.

The Gionee Elife E7 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with the company’s custom Amigo 2.0 UI layer on top, much like its predecessor. The Gionee Elife E7 comes with single SIM support. It features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920) OGS (One-Glass-Solution) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Gionee Elife E7 sports a 16-megapixel autofocus rear camera accompanied by an LED flash and also includes an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
