This is indeed very disgusting and shameful. Like every year, there is one international contestant on the ongoing eleventh season of Bigg Boss. Her name is Lucinda Nicholas, who is a model, actress and yoga instructor from Australia. We don’t blame you for not knowing that she is inside the Bigg Boss house considering she hasn’t caused havoc like some of the other contestants have. But what happened with her recently will shock you. We have seen that the contestants make fun of each other. Sometimes it’s in good humour and there are times when the purpose is purely to insult or to instigate. But making fun of someone’s physical appearance and that too in a language which the person doesn’t understand is way too low.

In an unseen video that was posted by a fan on Twitter, we see Puneesh Sharma, Sabyasachi Satapathy, Sapna Chouhdhary, Vikas Gupta and Bandgi Kalra, who are in the garden area talking about the beauty of Lucinda, who is also with them. First Sapna compliments Lucinda and tells her that she is very beautiful. And all fine till this point of time. But then comes a statement from Sabyasachi, who says, “Bas honth kharab hai.” (Her lips are not pretty). This must be enough to make you feel disgusted. But there is some more! Puneesh then asks Lucinda, “Did you Botox your lips?” It’s funny considering he doesn’t even know how to pronounce the word, botox. Lucinda, who is not very good with Hindi looks all confused. At the end of the video, Sapna says, “Aisa lag raha hai foreign ka Rottweiler (a dog’s breed) hai.” (She looks like a Rottweiler). Bandgi asks Sapna to repeat her statement, and she does, still not realising that this is wrong. And we can see Puneesh, who just cannot stop laughing. There are so many things that are wrong here. Firstly, Vikas, who is also a part of this group didn’t say a word during the entire conversation. Maybe he realised it’s wrong, and kept quiet. And if he did realise and still didn’t say anything, then it’s a shame. But then we will give him that benefit of doubt considering this is not the full video.

This is 2017. How can people in India be still okay with making fun of people from the foreign land? Where on one hand the government is trying to promote tourism by running campaigns like ‘Átithi Devo Bhava’, which in English means ‘The guest is equivalent to God’. Here we have some people making sure that all of it goes down the drain, and that too on the biggest reality show of the nation, which is quite appalling.

We really hope that this is pointed out during the weekend episode, which will be shot tomorrow with host Salman Khan. This is something that cannot and should not be ignored.
