Rahul Gandhi calls high-level Congress meet

New Delhi: Days after being appointed as the vice president of the Congress party, Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday called a high-level meeting of the party bearers.

Reports said all general secretaries will attend the meeting to be held at 5 pm today at the Congress headquarters here.

Presidents of all party wings have also been called to the meeting, which could emerge as the first step towards a change in the All India Congress Committee (AICC) ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

This would be the first meet to be chaired by Rahul after being appointed to the vice president’s post.
