After moving to an affluent East Texas town, Sophie O’Neil becomes drawn into the seductive orbit of Margot Banks, the bold leader of a clique of wealthy women known as the Hunting Wives. Their glamorous gatherings—filled with alcohol, secrets, and reckless games—pull Sophie deeper into a dangerous social world where desire and power blur. As Sophie grows increasingly entangled with Margot and other members of the group, intense female friendships and queer attraction complicate loyalties and marriages. When a shocking crime shakes the community, Sophie finds herself trapped in a web of manipulation, jealousy, and hidden relationships where the truth could destroy everyone involved.
