Jacques and Odile Paugnont, a middle-class couple, lead a monotonous existence in the Paris suburbs. One day, a promotional offer at a local supermarket allows them to acquire a couple of friends. This guarantees lively evenings, hearty laughter, and deep discussions that are sure to dispel the boredom of everyday life.
