Everything is going well between Teixeirinha and Mary Terezinha. They are finishing a film, and she is pregnant and happy. However, during a routine check-up, Teixeirinha discovers that Mary has leukemia and could die if not treated soon. Desperate, but trying to hide the truth, he sends for an American specialist who confirms the diagnosis. Accidentally, Mary learns about the illness and asks a doctor friend for her opinion. Immersed in so many memories, he goes to the Sanctuary of Fatima in Portugal to see if he can find the path to Mary's cure.
