The couple left New York to spend the Christmas holidays with friends in France. On their way, a fallen tree trunk on the road causes an accident. Christopher is hurt. Julia, in evening dress, must find help. But the place is deserted. After several hours of walking, she will finally cross the road of Thomas, a lonely farmer.
