Paulinho da Viola, one of Brazilian music's greatest icons, is releasing a commemorative audiovisual project this Friday (the 13th) that promises to move fans. Titled "Paulinho da Viola – 80 Anos" (Paulinho da Viola – 80 Years), the project—a partnership with Som Livre—features the full recording of his 80th-birthday tour concert, held in Rio de Janeiro on May 25, 2024. Comprising 25 tracks that span Paulinho’s vast and acclaimed repertoire, the project celebrates his musical journey and reinforces his status as a giant of Brazilian music history. It features performances of career classics and new recordings of songs in his voice, as well as a special appearance by the artist's daughter, Bia Rebello, on two tracks of the DVD.
