Erik leaves the big city and travels to a small community deep inside the Swedish forests. In the idyllic village he visits his sister Lisa, whom he has not met in five years. She seems worried about something, and afterwards she disappears without a trace. During Erik's investigations of what happened to her, he realizes that Lisa isn't the first to disappear and that people in the silent society know more than they say.
