Luke Harris
Biography:
Luke Harris is a Black award-winning Director-Writer whose work centers intimate, character-driven stories rooted in identity, family, and community. In 2025, he was named a Princess Grace Award Winner in the Film & Animation category with the John H. Johnson Film Honors, and his latest short film, ManBooBs, is a finalist for the 2025 HBO Short Film Award at the American Black Film Festival.
Luke won the NAACP Cinematic Shorts Challenge for his film Danny Boy, receiving a grant that led to the production of his documentary Jeremiah’s Big Christmas Party, which went on to win the 2025 NBCUniversal Power of Storytelling Award in partnership with The Alliance for Media Arts + Culture.
