40 Glocc (born Lawrence Carl Demetrious White in Greenville, Texas, on December 16, 1979) is an American rapper, raised in California's Inland Empire. He has worked with Jayo Felony, Kurupt, Dr. Dre and Mobb Deep. His solo discography includes The Jakal (2003). At the tender age of 8 he moved to the projects in Colton, California, otherwise known as the "Zoo". Glocc acknowledges that the strong lyrics he is known for came from the wisdom and heart it took to survive being raised in the "Zoo". 40 Glocc found his talent as a rapper at the age of thirteen, being inspired by the music of Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, LL Cool J and others.
