Biography: Scott Columbus (November 10, 1956 – April 5, 2011) was an American drummer best known for his long collaboration with the heavy metal band Manowar. Columbus began drumming at age six. Growing up, he was influenced by bands such as Led Zeppelin, The Who, Black Sabbath, and Cream, while performing in local groups like Hell Hostage and Oswego’s Barry James Band. Known for his humor, warmth, and passion, he was also a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan who often dressed as a football player.
