Biography:
Jacquelyn Garcia is a filmmaker from Houston, Texas. Specializing in gothic aesthetic, her films always seem to carry an endearing and relatable sense of character. Starting off with her first ever short film, a clay stop-motion animated piece titled "Winona's Monster", which tells the story of a girl and her personal monster that follows her to school. Jacquelyn quickly established her stylings and sensibilities. "Winona's Monster" was awarded Best Film at the Hogg Foundation Short Film Competition in 2022 and made it's Houston premiere in 2025.
